Jason Lui Letran, MD

Dr. Letran finished his Residency Training in Urology at University of Santo Tomas Hospital in 1996. The following year, he was accepted as a Senior Fellow in Urologic Oncology at University of Washington School of Medicine, Seattle, Washington, USA. He further trained as a Scholar of the Japanese Foundation for Promotion of Endoscopy and Research, Fujieda Municipal General Hospital, Shizuoka, Japan in 1998. His prolific career in Urology earned him numerous commendations and adulations from his colleagues. He was the first Filipino urologist to perform cryosurgical ablation of the prostate at Cardinal Santos Medical Center in 2003. He was also the first Filipino urologist to perform robotic-assisted radical prostatectomy at The Medical City in 2010. In 2017, he became the first Filipino urologist to perform transperineal MRI fusion prostate biopsy using Koelis fusion ultrasound machine at Chinese General Hospital and Medical Center. He has more than twenty international publications on prostate cancer diagnostic procedures and management under his name. He was awarded Cancer Researcher of the Year by the Philippine Society of Oncologists in 2009. He is currently the Chief of the Section of Urology at Cardinal Santos Medical Center and the Director of the Cancer Institute and Head of Clinical Services Integration Department at Chinese General Hospital and Medical Center.
